This was the 1998-99 season opener for both teams. Jassen Cullimore scored the first goal in the entire NHL, and the first in the new National Car Rental Arena. The Panthers came back and scored 4 unanswered goals to win though. Tucker didn't get any points. Despite this being the first game after the false allegations against Sandy McCarthy and Tucker, there wasn't a lot of mean play. At the end of the game, McCarthy got in it with Paul Laus(y) and Tucker got into it with anther player. Nothing special. This season will be better.
